Origins of the JRPG Panel at Uplink This Saturday at 10:30 AM

The ongoing pandemic has canceled pretty much every convention through the rest of the year, but the Long Island Retro Game Expo is holding an all-online convention called Uplink this weekend. We’ll be there, along with Jeremy Parish from Retronauts, giving an online panel about the Origins of the JRPG, to tie in with our upcoming JRPG book, coming out in early 2021. We’ll be discussing the very first RPGs made in Japan, the most important and influential entries, and a number of offbeat and interesting titles from the mid-80s PC RPG scene. It’s at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning but if you can’t make it, it will be recorded and available to stream later for all ticket holders. See you all then (virtually, anyway!)
