The Long Island Retro Gaming Expo is this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, August 11th and 12th. Myself and Xerxes from the Top 47,858 Games of All time podcast will be attending on Saturday, make sure to catch us with the Retronauts crew at 11 AM that morning as we talk about Capcom games and all of the assorted titles that Super Joe has been involved in (Commando, The Speed Rumbler, and Bionic Commando, mostly). I especially like this convention because they were kind enough to put us on the Guest Speakers list, while some other conventions don’t really bother with us in favor of YouTubers. Also, there’s a dude there that will have an X68000 set up so you can play all kinds of awesome, rare stuff on a fantastic sound system.
Additionally, I’ll be attending A Video Game Con in Secaucus, NJ, which is the weekend of September 15th and 16th. In addition to having a table there selling HG101 books and stuff, I’ll also be hosting a panel, though the schedule hasn’t been released yet so I’m not sure what time it’ll be just yet. And we haven’t quite figured out what we’ll be talking about, but it’ll be great fun. Please feel to stop by if you’re attending!
