The Famicom/NES version of Parodius was the first one to hit the home systems.
The graphics and sound are obviously downgraded (no voices) and there aren't
an many levels (eight) though there is one completely new one especially
for the Famicom version. There's plenty of slowdown and flicker, but it
still looks great for an old 8-bit system. It's worth noting that this is
the only Parodius game officially released in English speaking countries:
Palcom (the old European division of Konami) translated it and released it
in Europe for PAL systems (that is where the English title screen came
from.)
