The second "true" Goemon game to appear on the Famicom, this particular
version shares the most in common with the SNES Legend of the Mystical Ninja:
the structure is pretty much the same (levels are non-linear and require
some exploration to gain money), gameplay is very similar (even two player)
and neat little extras like dance shows and mazes. A password function or
mid-level continue would've been nice given the length of some levels, but
this is the NES/Famicom we're talking about. As it stands, Ganbare Goemon 2
is another one of those titles that really would've been awesome to see in
America, but never did.
