Here's pt 7, since you people demanded more of this series...maybe you all like me. *hears crickets chirping* HEY!!!! -YingGirl CastleVania: Senshi For HIRE!!!! Part 7 By: YingGirl. (yinggirl_the_sephiroth_hunter@hotmail.com) Notes: Although I do not owe the rights of CastleVania SoTN, I do owe the rights to some characters. All other characters are based and owned by Konami. The story takes place in the modern time. Please enjoy. Prologue 1 Alucard calmly wandered around the castle, carrying his sword along with him. It wouldn’t matter if the following servants attacked him. He’ll eventually become the ruler of this castle. It is his rightful heritage. Alucard shook his head. He needed to get in contact with the Belmont as soon as possible. He hated to be alone. His vampire side would find ways to manipulate him in coming back to his dark half. But why was he still protecting humans? That was the Belmont’s job. He should just leave this castle and make the hunters deal with it. He just couldn’t get himself to do it. “Damn you Richter,” Alucard mutter as he looked up, “you never told me a job of a watcher was this hard.” Prologue 2 After the light of the card died down, I manage to recover my eyesight. What was this place? I looked around the area as I held tightly to the bat. It looked like a hallway of some sort of library. Strange. There was calmness in this area that ward off the monsters. But what was a library doing in a castle such as this? I started to walk down the hallway. Maybe I could find some aid for my furry friend. Or was I leading us into a trap? I didn’t think so. Something in me told me I should see who was there. As I entered the room, I saw a light of a candle glowing. The bat started to squeaked. I placed my hand and stroked his fur. I then paid my attention to what was behind the candlelight. It was an old man who was sitting on his chair. He placed his book onto his table. He then got up and looked at me. “You must be a Belmont,” he said. *** The count was resting on his throne. His face stood still, yet inside him his blood was boiling with rage. It was kind of ironic since his corpse doesn’t produce any blood of his own. He was angry because of the Belmont. The Belmont. Even mentioning that word would tear his soul to pieces. He should be rejoicing since she is the very last Belmont. Yet, there was something about this one. She was different. She called herself YingGirl. She was helping monsters that needed help. She also knew how to attack just like her ancestors… He needed more information on this girl. If he could get a hold of this girl and kill her quickly before his bastard son tries to stop him…perhaps his pain will ease. His silent anger came to a halt. That wasn’t such a bad idea. He would go to the castle, find the Belmont at her most vulnerable state, and quickly finish her off. He smirked. “Orlox,” the count cried, “I need your assistance.” A gentleman appeared as he step foreword and take a bow towards the count. He was wearing a suit of armour. “Anything I may do for you my lord?” Orlox asked as he kept his bow. “Expect a visit from a Belmont,” the count replied, “once she arrives, make sure she doesn’t leave your quarters.” “I’ll make sure she’ll wince in pain before she tries to leave.” “Don’t go boasting around on how you’ll inflict pain on the Belmont, just get the job done!!!!” “As you wish.” He then departed, leaving the count with a grin on his face. “I’ve got you my pretty,” the count smirked, “and your pesky bat too!!!” In the darkness was the Guardian of Death. He kept still as he felt the thoughts of his master. It seems that he dislike what was about to happen next…but why? He said not a word as he stayed covered in the shadows. Can he inform the young prince before all leads to hell? He left the throne room without a sound as he carried on with his duties. The count noticed someone. He kept silent since later he’ll repay his dear friend with this slight aguish of betrayal. *** “Who…are you?” I asked while I held the bat. “I am a friend of Young Master Alucard,” he replied, “I am the Librarian, keeper of these books and aid to our young master.” “Young Master? Alucard???” The bat tried to stay calm but then he started to squeak out again. I wish I knew what he was talking about. The Librarian looked at me strangely. “But why would a Belmont be running around with one of Alucard’s playmates?” he asked as he looked at the bat. “A playmate?” I replied as I held the bat. “Yes. You should have seen the look on the young master when his father gave him the bat. This castle was filled with joy and happiness… Those were the days. They never lasted long.” “Then, can you help me aid this bat? He’s badly injured.” “I can help you, since you seem to be an alley to him if you have the Bat Familiar on your side.” “Yeah…” “You also came in the castle because you want to be with the Young Master….” “Well I…” My face started to turn red. How on earth does he know? Did Alucard tell him? “It’s alright to not admit you have admiration for your friend,” he said, “he also has admiration for you as well.” “But…” I cried as I held onto the bat, “he says I can’t fight the final battle…” “Because he does not want to see you get hurt. You are very young and haven’t enjoyed what your entire life has to offer you. Why is that Young Belmont?” I turned away. The bat kept speaking. “I wish not to say,” I said as I turned back, “if you don’t have anything to help me or my bat friend, I will be permitted to leave.” “No!!!!” he cried out, “Please don’t leave. I can help you find a way to see Alucard again and help your bat friend!” The bat squeaked as I held onto it once again. It seems I wasn’t the only one that wanted to see Alucard once again. Maybe I should get some aid from this guy. He’s the only one that knows about Alucard more than I do. I turned around. “I won’t leave you,” I smirked as I held the bat, “if you promise me to be my friend.” *** Alucard started to wander around the castle. He could handle his cool, yet for a few minutes, he had to rest since his head was throbbing in pain. Why must he live a life where his soul lies in endless torment? Why can’t he be at peace?! Why must he continue on with this endless torment of his kindred? Why must it be?!! He will never be at peace. Never. He is forever cursed as a vampire with a soul, or a mortal man who’s living a nightmare. He walked down a hallway. There was something on the ground. He caught a glimpse of it from his eye. It wasn’t an object he just saw. He saw corpses lying. Three to be exact. The first body lying sprawled onto the ground was a body of a young girl. She had dark black hair and her skin was a tan-like color. She wore a white blouse, tight black pants heart shaped earrings, and a chocker, which the center of it was a heart. Her face features exposed her blue eyes, staring into total nothingness. Yet, there isn’t any sign of an injury that has her in this state or the decaying process. It seemed this body was asleep…but why is she holding a bowie knife in her right hand? Alucard ignored it and studied the second body, which was in a different position that the first one. It was a young boy, with somewhat messy brown hair. He wore jeans, a checker shirt over a white top and a pair of goggles on top of his head. What he held in his hand was some sort of cup to hold some liquid…but why?? Alucard finally got a glimpse of the third body. Was this child in a realistic cat costume? The body lied in a different position than the other two. He wore a jogging shirt and jeans. His forepaws wore biker gloves and his claws were so realistic. Alucard, being confused about never seeing such a creature or costume, decided to touch this corpse. Strangely, all three corpses have the same look on their face. Why was that? Alucard didn’t realize that one of the corpses woke up from her state and heading towards him with her bowie knife ready to strike. *** At least the Librarian was nice enough to heal the bat familiar and tell me where to go to see Alucard. The bad news is, he wanted me to pay for it. Fortunately, as luck would have it, I found some money laying around the castle and some monsters I slain, dropped money bags as well. You wouldn’t expect a hunter to go off and kill monsters without getting a reward, now did ya? The bat squeaked happily as he flew around this next area, Orlox’s Quarters. I wonder who he was. If he has his own domain, he must be someone important in Drac’s army of darkness. I looked around. I saw buildings, but they were in ruins. Could this be the remains of Wachallia Village? What happened to the people? What did they do to deserve this? Then, something caught my eye. A young woman, in the mist of all this destruction, was standing there. She wore a black dress; her skin was like ivory, and her hair…. Wait on a sec…she has the same hair color as Adrian!!! Who was this woman? Could she be Alucard’s sister? I started to walk towards this woman. The bat familiar sat on my shoulder as I calmly approached the woman. “Excuse me Madame…” I asked calmly. She then turned around and looked at me. The bat was shyly blushing. “You have one of the gifts my husband gave to our son when he was young,” she replied as she paid attention to the bat. The bat shyly squeaked at her. “You want to stay with her because you think she’ll bring to Alucard,” she said as she caressed the bat’s head, “I think you’re starting to get lazy because you’re making my son’s friends do the work for you.” The bat squeaked in agreement. “Wait on a sec,” I cried out as I pointed to the bat, “you understand what this bat is saying?” “Of course,” she said as she looked at me, “my husband had an admiration for bats.” “Your husband? I guess he must be a bat watcher of sorts.” “You could say that. He is in fact, Vlad Tepes Dracul. I never asked him why he had bats around him, but I guess that makes him unique than other men.” My face froze. Those words, stuck terror straight at me. How could someone love a man so cruel? And if she was Dracula’s wife, that would mean she’s also Alucard’s… “It seems impossible for someone like that to love,” she sighed, “but it isn’t. He has a human heart just like the rest of us. So it isn’t hard for him to love. Belmont, if you plain to stop him for what he did to your friends…please promise me you will never let my son, Adrian, follow his father’s path to his own demise.” “I can’t promise you anything,” I replied, “but I will do my best to protect Adrian.” “Thank you Belmont. You seen very new at vampire hunting, but you are the most noblest one from the clan.” “I just wish I could find a way to stop Drac without hurting him. I, my bloodline, have caused great trouble within yours.” “You will find a way, Belmont.” “How do you know I’m a Belmont that’s an ally?” “Simple, you carry the whip and you have the bat familiar on your side. You are someone I can trust…” I blushed a bit. Never did I have someone place his or her trust in me. I wanted to talk to her some more, but when I looked at the place she was standing…she was gone. Where did she go? How does she know about Alucard? Why did she call him her “son”?? I held my head. Was I all dreaming it all? I could have just fallen and hallucinate that woman walking by. But I must keep my promise. And the sooner I find Alucard, the more I can concentrate on how to stop the count before he continues to hurt others. The bat started to speak again. This time he was paying attention to the fountain in the center of this area. If the castle has a fountain, it must have some sewers around here. Maybe I could get a drink from it. I am awfully thirsty, not to mention hungry. I wonder if the Librarian sells edible food around here. I started to run towards the fountain, the bat was flying ahead. That’s no fair!! I don’t have wings. But I shouldn’t argue, there was going to be some water left afterwards. When we both arrived at the fountain, I placed my hand into the fountain. I then looked at my hand…it was covered in blood!!!! “What the?!!!” I shrieked as I flung away from the fountain. The bat started to squeak as he slowly backed away. I looked at the fountain again. It wasn’t flowing with water…the orients started to flow blood into the fountain. It continued to poor more blood until the fountain was over-flooded with blood. I started to back away from the fountain when I found out the blood was seeping onto the ground, covering with blood. It started to make me feel sick. I held onto myself, wishing this image to go away. But it didn’t, and it started to remind me of my dead foster father I saw lying on the ground. It was coming to me, more painful than ever. “MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!” I yelled out as I clutched onto my head, “STOP IT!!!!!” The scent of blood started to make me feel dizzy. I wanted to get away from it, but the scent was too much. I collapsed onto the ground. The bat squeaked constantly as he flew around. What could have cause the fountain to pour blood on the hands of the innocence? *** The corpse was right behind Alucard. She slowly raised her right arm and started to lower it. “Blood of the hunter…” she muttered, “feast for the sacrifice.” Alucard quickly turned around and grabbed onto her arm. She stilled muttered those words as she try to strike him with the knife she held. He noticed something about her. Something familiar “This must be one of the Belmont’s friend,” Alucard said as he managed to push her aside, “I seen her before from the hallway incident.” “Blood of the hunter…” she continued to muttered, “feast for the sacrifice.” Then, the other two corpses started to rise as if someone was commanding them, or even controlling them. Controlling them? He searched into his vest pocket to pull out a pair of tinted glasses. As he placed them on his face, he gave his capturers a smirk. They look at him puzzlingly. He then side step and raised his sword slightly. He quickly flung his sword at each of the corpses, as he was to instantly kill them with these three firm blows. Yet his sword never even hit any one. Shards of glass feel onto the ground. The mortals stood there, rubbing their eyes as they awaken from an endless nightmare. Alucard then lowered his sword. “My head…” Cother muttered as she held her head while she dropped the knife, “what happened?” “The last thing I can recall…” Matt said as he rubbed the back of his neck, “was that Pumpkin Jr. and I were caught by this biogenetic human plant rose.” “Dude,” Pumpkin Jr. cried as he looked around the area, “where are we?” “You’re in Dracula’s castle,” Alucard calmly replied as he placed his sword back in the sheath and took off his glasses. “In Dracula’s Castle?” Matt cried out, “But that would mean…we’re somewhere in Europe?!!!” “Yo,” Pumpkin Jr. asked as he looked at Alucard, “who’s the tour guide dressed up as a neo gothic Lestat?” “What?” Alucard responded with a slight look of confusion on his face. Both Cother and Matt quickly covered their mouths as they try to hide their intense laughing. Alucard started to back away from the trio. “Who are you people?” Alucard asked as he looked at the mortals. “I guess the polite thing to do is to introduce ourselves,” Matt replied as he stops his snickering, “my name is Matthew Brodwick. I’m kinda like the nerd, but helping Vanessa and YingGirl in everyday problems doesn’t make me feel much nerdish.” “I’m Pumpkin Jr.” Pumpkin Jr. purred, “I came here from the Planet Maw to learn the lifestyle of people over her, and I learned plenty. I’m Vanessa’s little brother and YingGirl’s partner for fighting crime.” “The name is Cother Mackenzie,” Cother replied as she looked at Alucard, “say, you have the same features as Adrian. Are you his brother? Or close relative??” “No,” Alucard muttered “that is my actual name.” “WHAT?!!!” Matt and Cother cried out. There was silence for a few seconds. “Dude!!!” Pumpkin Jr. yowled, “That’s a girly name!!!! That means…you’re a chick!!!!” Alucard growled at that comment. Was it because that his dark half was taking over? Or was it that this creature is a common idiot?
