~~~~~~ Sweet Revenge ~~~~~~ Chapter 4: Preparation With the call made Carrie hung up the phone and started thinking what's next for her. Why did Malus appear in her sleep? How did Dracula get resurrected? These and many more questions were lingering around her mind. She then got back up from the bed and went to the bathroom to change. She switched on the light as she looked herself in the mirror. Carrie then saw something in the corner of her mirror. It was a Madusa head. It started coming towards Carrie. She quickly took it apart with a smack from her green rings. The monster vanished into thin air. Carrie said "Oh this is bad. Real bad. You have heads flying around in a persons bathroom. This is going to end." With that Carrie got dressed as quickly as possible. She took all her needed weapons. Her hands. She also took knives and axes. It wasn't a joke after all. She was putting her life on the line. It was a long journey in Drac's castle. Carrie would wait till 6 o' clock in the morning to start her journey. After all the creatures were much less powerful when the blood moon wasn't up. Reinhardt packed all his weapons as well. Wore his usual attire. 1:30 at night and he's preparing to put his life on the line against anything and everything. Odd at best but he had no choice. He had to expect the unexpected. Reinhardt's mind was saying for him to stay with Rosa and his heart was telling him to destroy Dracula. Reinhardt was ready for hopefully his final battle with Dracula Vlad Tepes. How coincidental was it that Cornell was also waiting for 6 in the morning to start of his journey. He didn't want to waste time but he had no choice. Cornell was to have practiced if he was to fight the ultimate form of evil. He trailed the Dora woods as to find some sort of challenge. Cornell was well equipped for any fight that would await his trace. While walking past a bunch of tree's Cornell felt something was following him. He quickly looked behind and saw nothing but the night light. He kept pacing forward. Just then a howl startled him. In a state of confusion a snake leapt from the tree onto Cornells neck! It wrapped itself around his neck. Cornell struggled against the massive snake as it was huge. Cornell was taken down, but took out a a knife he had in his front pocket and quickly stabbed the snake. Surprisingly the snake never let up. Cornell continued stabbing it. Cornell could hear the hisses by the snake each time he stabbed it. Finally it swept away from him with little life left. Cornell quickly got up. Looking at the bloody snake struggle Cornell wasn't about to think twice about killing it. He quickly took advantage and something red started evolving from his hand. Cornell then sliced the snake in two with a laser beam that stripped out of the hand. The snake turned into smoke. Cornell continued while the howls grew louder and louder. He heard something running and making sounds as it was. Cornell stood on guard. He just had his first challenge in the form of a snake and didn't even get a chance to catch a breath. He kept stepping forward until he heard a viscous growl. It was behind him. Cornell quickly turned around and it was a werewolf. The werewolf leapt and kicked Cornell right in the face. He fell like a bucket filled with water. Cornell tried to re-gather but the wolf kept on coming using his speed and agility to his advantage. He took Cornell and threw him into a tree. The wolf making loud noises then unleashed a flurry of kicks and scratches with his claws on Cornell. Most of them were blocked but the ones that had met their mark left a severe gash. Cornell stood there dazed with the tree holding him up. The wolf walked back. Sensing kill the wolf charged at Cornell with everything he had, Cornell moved just in time and the wolf plummeted right into the tree. Cornell then took the wolf and started banging him against the tree. The wolf came back with a right swift to Cornells face. He tried for a left but Cornell smarted and grabbed his furry hand, he quickly took the wolf down and started stabbing him with the same knife. It wasn't long before the wolf was paralyzed. Cornell once again had a red object evolving from his hand, and he flew it to its destination. The Wolf. The wolf let out a cry before he didn't move one bit. Cornell had dark blood spilled all over his attire. He smirked and laughed a bit as well as to say "This is my competition?" Cornell began walking through the forest. There seemed to be nothing else out there. So Cornell waited and then took out a roast chicken from his backpack and started eating it. Cornell began remembering the past as he ate. He remembered his friend Ortega. How he would always kill humans to provide Cornell with food whenever he transformed into a wolf. Such a faithful friend turned foe? That was eating Cornell alive. But what was exasperating him even more was that Cornell didn't know of Ada's well being. He didn't know that she was already used as a sacrifice to bring back evil in its worst form. Cornell then figured there was no challenge. But, yes there is a but, There was a particular animal in the forest that could prove a challenge for Cornell. In the forest there was one such animal who smelled food. Cornell had almost finished eating his roast chicken when he saw a big dark figure walking toward him. It was something that looked very strong. A big furry black bear as it seemed had smelled the chicken. And now he had smelled Cornell. He first eyed Cornell as Cornell started slowly taking out something from his back pack. It was like brass knuckles only with spikes all over it. He took out two of each and put them on his hands. The bear still looked in confusion as it seemed. Cornell then waited for the first move. The bear valiantly started moving closer and then in a horrendous act slashed at Cornell! Cornell flipped off high in the air and came down a few feet from the bear. There was a big problem for the bear. Cornell had landed behind the bear. He quickly took his hands and jammed both spikes into the bears back. Cornell kept doing this as the bear let out a big cry. The Bear swung his huge arms backwards but Cornell ducked, He then jabbed the spikes in the bears stomach. Cornell slid under the bears legs and did the same to his back once more. Cornell then walked back watching the bear slowly fall down. It wasn't dead. Cornell then took the chicken he didn't finish and threw it on the bear. "Happy Birthday." Cornell finished. Chapter 5: Deadly Occurrence Meanwhile atrocities were happening in the town. Skeletons, Vampires, Lizard men, Zombies, Evil Ghosts, Bats, Massive Spiders, and Harpies were all terrorizing the town. Destruction was created. Such was the curse of evil. All throughout night was this occurring. In one part of the town though something interesting happened. It was 9:00 and a villager was walking home when from out of no where a vampire attacked him. The vamp had a red suit on with glaring eyes. He had actually struggled with the villager since he was new. The vamp was lashing into the villager but couldn't get a bite in. The vampire took its sharp claws and tried striking the villager in half but he rolled out of the way. Finally the villager grabbed a metal pipe and sacked the vamp across his pale face. They were now both down in pain. The villager and Vampire were both down. The villager was in for a rude awakening, because the vampire had been playing possum all along. He healed quickly. He stood over the villagers prone body. The vamp revealed its fangs and was about to bite his neck, when the villager caught hold of some garlic he had in his possession. He quickly put it on the vamp as the vamp flew off him in pain. They were coming across a river. The platform they were battling on was a few feet above the river. The vamp was surprised at the villagers skill. "Bad day to provoke me you human wretch! I shall bathe in your filthy blood!" said the vamp getting ready to attack. "Evil spirit! Stay where you are and I shall not hurt you!" the villager squealed. At the words of the villager the vamp started laughing and his laugh slowly faded to a frown. His fangs were shining and his eyes were sharp into the villagers eyes. The vamp then saw a Lizard man jump out of the river and he was walking behind the villager. "I am afraid it is you who must die a horrible death." "Why is that?" asked the villager. "You will find out in a second, oh and yeah, It was nice knowing you...hehheheheh." The vamp then backed away as the lizard man hit the villager with a giant club. The villager dropped the garlic and grew dizzy, he started to walk around and unfortunate for him, he fell right into the vamp's waiting arms. The vamp taking no chances quickly sank his teeth in the villagers throat. The villager was paralyzed in minutes. He was helpless as the vamp sucked his blood. His face soon became pale and in minutes the human had died. "Take this fool and throw him down to the river, He does not fit the standard of becoming a vampire." The vamp told the lizard man. The Lizard man did as was said and picked up the villagers dead body and threw it in the river. The Lizard then jumped down to make sure the body wasn't seen. Just then the vamp barely smiled. The Lizard then jumped out of the water. "That takes care of that wretch." The vamp screamed. "hehehe." "What are you laughing at?" the vamp soundly questioned. "Gilles De Rais, I would expect a lot more viciousness then that poor display of a sin." The lizard said. The voice wasn't lizards though. It was a voice Gilles De Rais was very familiar with. The lizard was then surrounded by a circle of fire. The lizard then began to disintegrate into the circle of fire as it closed up and nothing was left but smoke. Then behind him some sound began to ache his ears. The vamp looked behind. "What the flamin'......" When Gilles looked behind he saw a red circle of red fire. The fire didn't look like fire though. It was like mist. Red mist that circled around and around. Gilles De Rais looked more then confused, in fact he felt a certain sort of unease. The red circled mist then began to close up. In moments the red mist disappeared as it reached the pinnacle of circling. The red mist was gone, but something else had arrived. The vamp looked from bottom to the top at the person he was looking at. Black shoes began to follow with a red and black out fit, to top it of with a black cloak. It was the worlds most feared villain. Count Dracula Vlad Tepes. His face was crowded with a white beard and paleness. His eyes were blood red, as if anyone looked at them, they would become possessed. He stood there in front of Rais looking stronger and generating uncanny power. Power that wasn't understood by Rais. "Rais, My lord! You have returned!" Rais squealed as he stepped back. "Ah, the fresh air of Transylvania. Its a joy to be back. Rais its a pleasant sight to see you before me today. This time Gilles, I will be successful." "What do you mean my lord?" "I will be successful in providing this miserable place with as much darkness as there is in me, and I will enjoy every minute of it. Take your stand Gilles, for humanity's destruction has just arrived......Again!" Just then a a bright light flashed on Dracula's pale face as the light began covering his whole body. In a matter of moments the light had disappeared and left behind a small boy in a garb. Blue gloves with blue eyes did he stand. Gilles De Rais couldn't believe how Dracula transformed so quickly. "Hail the king of darkness!" Gilles exclaimed. Chapter 6: Plundering Across The Lake The time had arrived. It was time to venture to hell's mansion. Dracula's castle awaited. Reinhardt was set and ready for his adventure. He knew that not only was his life at stake. Rosa's happiness was to. Reinhardt couldn't bare to see Rosa unhappy. If by any chance he had died then Rosa would forever be a walking carcass. She couldn't live without him. Reinhardt took all his important tools with him. Crosses, Holy Water, Axes, Knives, Whips, Swords, Garlic were all kept either in his attire or in his bag. Prepared to say the very least. Meanwhile Carrie was equipped with all her weapons as well. She took a farewell to her home which she probably wouldn't see in a long time. Carrie then was all set to leave as she opened her door and left her house. Over night Dracula's evil forces had created havoc that couldn't be acquainted for. She took a quick glance at the outside world. It seemed a tad bit uneasy. Carrie knew that Transylvania wasn't the same. It sure didn't feel the same. She began to venture to her destination. Which was to the phenomenon known to all as Castlevania. Finally as Cornell had come to the end of the Dora forests, there was a a lake. The lake was short of a sight to see. In fact the lake looked like it contained restless souls. Cornell had no choice but to venture through it, a she did in the past. Only this time somehow Cornell couldn't pick up Ada's scent. He was no longer a wolf. He didn't need it anyway, since he knew the way to Castlevania and its core. Just as he expected there was a boat there, with the ferryman. The ferryman took a glance at Cornell as it were deja vu again. The mans eyes were seemingly glowing. Cornell advanced to the boat. Before Cornell could utter a word the ferryman spoke, "Ada has once again been captured. Ha, how unforgiving life can be. Or for that matter, how unforgiving death can be." "How have you come to know ferryman?" Cornell asked in amazement. "Seek not the answer to my abilities, Because you will receive none." The ferryman grabbed the oar. "Climb in while you still can." Cornell looked at the ferryman, not knowing what to think. He walked toward the small boat and stepped in. As Cornell was to sit down he shot a quick glance to the ferryman. Strangely just like the last time he ventured he couldn't see the face clearly. The ferryman took the oar in his hand and began to row it. "Your not the talking type are you?" Cornell insinuated. "I am sorry..." the ferryman said ignoring Cornells question. "What's the apology for?" "I am sorry, but the journey you are venturing is not a good one. I suggest it is of no use to you, but exacting revenge in this journey. Remember it is not rescuing that is important, it is revenge." The ferryman let out. "How could I desert Ada like this! It is my duty to save her!" "Well, your duty of saving your sister, is of no use now." "What?" "What questions you ask, I will let fate answer. For now, I will allow you to lead your hopes to the sky." "You are a complex individual ferryman." "I thank you for the compliment." Before the Cornell knew it the boat was closing in on some huge dark figure. It was the ship. "You must have a past of my interest." Cornell said with a smirk on his face. "My past will present no interest to you. Though if it is my past you wish to hear, so be it. Various adventurer's like yourself have trailed to Dracula's castle through me. Some were a lot like yourself. Every time Dracula was resurrected a new warrior arose to face his evil. I have never crossed over to Dracula's castle. Nor do I wish to in the future. This lake as you see it, is very evil. I should know since Iv been passing it for decades." "I must admit this lake isn't my favorite." "Ah yes. Never before have I trailed these lakes with the same person twice. It is a new accolade you shouldn't take for granted. Cornell." Surprisingly Cornell asked, "How do you know my name." "Doesn't it occur to you how I knew that your quest is only about revenge." "That's yet to be seen." Cornell valiantly said with determination. "Heh mortal, It should be told that I do not lie. Knowing you were once a man wolf is proof of it. Now I regret to tell you this but this river tells you everything you want to know, Or dont.....want to know." Cornell looked down at the river thinking how foolish this was. He stared and saw a face. It was a woman. To Cornell's horror it was Ada. Her body wasn't to be seen as she began to utter words. "Cornell. It is to late my love. We can never be together again. But nonetheless you must avenge me at all costs and rid the world of Dracula. The prince of darkness has decided my fate and I dont want that to happen to anyone else. Bring peace to my soul Cornell, bring peace to my soul." Cornell couldn't believe what he saw and thought it was all a dream. But as soon as the ferryman uttered some words, he knew this was reality to its worst extent. "I hope you have reconsidered your agenda for the purpose of this mission. May I ask you, Do you still want to venture on?" the ferryman slowly said. Ghastly silence could be heard. A rapid amount of tears rolled down Cornell's eyes. He didn't know he was crying, as he was in deep thoughts. The ferryman didn't expect an answer to his question so he still rowed on. They sat their for a few minutes. Suddenly Cornell spoke. "For the evil souls who have taken away my Ada, they will not go unpunished. There is no doubt I must continue ferryman. Row on to my destiny." After a few minutes a ship came across Cornell's eyes as he watched the boat come slowly towards the huge ship. "Beware my friend, This place isn't exactly the same place you have been to before." The ferryman said with a certain mystique to his words. "What do you mean?" "In other words, expect the unexpected Cornell. For this ship that you have passed once will raise new challenges." With that, the ferryman took the last row's to the huge ship. The journey for Cornell had just begun and already he seemed out of hope, knowing Ada was indeed...dead.
